Documented is not the same as followed.

Most organisations can show you the process they designed: a model, a policy, a control framework. What they cannot show you is how often the work actually followed it. That answer lives in transaction data, spread across systems, in volumes far too large to read.

So the gap gets bridged by sampling. A control owner pulls a few dozen cases, checks them by hand and reports a percentage. It is the best that can be done manually, but it only ever describes the sample — and it tends to concentrate on the cases with the highest value, which are not always the ones going wrong.

Meanwhile the rules themselves stay in prose. “Two people must approve above this amount” is clear to a human and invisible to a system, so nothing checks it until an auditor does.

PAC starts by making the rules explicit and data-driven: each one is restated so it can be tested against an event log, then reviewed with the people who own it. Ambiguity surfaces here rather than in an audit finding.

The checks are then loaded into PAC, which tests the whole population against them and keeps testing as new data arrives. Because it works on conditions rather than only on the order of steps, it catches what conformance checking on its own misses — an approval by the wrong role, an amount over a threshold, a field changed after sign-off, a four-eyes rule satisfied by one pair of eyes.

The results land where your teams already work: in your Celonis dashboards, broken down by team, site and region, with alerts when new violations appear. There is no second platform to license, learn or keep alive.
